Kevin Vorhees - 6 year Pelotonia rider
For me, Pelotonia is a sense of community, friendship and a way to honor friends & family who have been diagnosed with cancer. I lost my mother-in-law Cathy Fries-Powers to cancer 4 years ago and it really ignited a fire in me to do better for cancer research fundraising. I've always been a creative person, so partnering with Josh Walker to create these beautiful earrings was a no-brainer. This has been a way to step outside my box of normal fundraising to create something fun and unique.

Josh Walker – 5 Year Fundraiser, 3 year Rider
I first got involved in Pelotonia as a way to fundraise for life-saving research in honor of my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Greg who have both battled and beaten multiple forms of Cancer over the years. And then two years ago Pelotonia took on a new meaning for me after I lost a close friend to this deadly disease. I have stayed involved because of the great work that’s being done at the James and how Central Ohio locks arms and lifts each other up in support of Pelotonia. I am in awe everyday of what people in this community can do and I am happy that I can play a small part, whether through the ride, fundraising or volunteering.
